Cut Out Your Ex!

In a perfect world, you make the break, get a divorce and go on with your day.

Now, for most of us, it just doesn’t work that way.

If you are one of those who can’t get the Ex out of your life, have I’ve got something for you!

The Cut Out Your Ex Knife Set!

No – really! How funny is that???

This is  THE EX Kitchen Knife Set–2nd Edition by Raffaele Iannello

Now, you know I’m not suggesting that you use these knives in a way that is reflected in the image. That would be wrong!

But how funny/symbolic would this gift be for a friend, or even yourself, of how you have to not get sucked into the potential chaos that can come from an Ex that you can’t get rid of?

This is a reminder of how you need to choose not to participate in the negative, mud-slinging, name-calling vengeance that can be stirred up by a pestering Ex.

Don’t do it! Don’t get sucked in!

The fastest way to defuse the Ex is to not participate. Period! Don’t take it personally. He is just trying to either hurt you or get a rise out of you.

If you don’t participate, and he doesn’t get the reaction he is looking for, then he will get tired, and go somewhere else where he can get the reaction he is looking for.

And then you are free! You will no longer be his “entertainment.” You won’t be fun to engage anymore. He will look somewhere else to feed his ego.

And you will have accomplished this without the use of above knife set!

But there will always be that reminder, sitting on your counter, telling you that you are free!

See, it’s all in your attitude!

Happy Living!

P.S. Do you see the humor in this? Let me know!

  1. Dennis carey says:

“Many a truth is told in jest.”

  2. Christia says:

Isn’t that funny though? My mentor sent it to me, and I had to share!

  3. Marie-Ange says:

    Hi Christia,
I agree with what you write … but I do not like this photo. When you know that in life we think this translates into action, I can not love this photo. I understand the humor, yes, but I do not really like.
For everything else, thank you a lot of gratitude … it is you who have opened my eyes, and since then my outlook on life is different.
Regards from France … (my english is so bad … I hope you understand !!)

  4. Christia says:

    Bonjour Marie-Ange!
Good to hear from you! I agree with you – the picture is harsh. Most of us would never do anything this severe to act out our anger, but some people need to express their anger with humor. Acknowledging anger helps us accept what has happened, allowing us to eventually release that pain forever. Because we are the ones who accept how we feel, no one else.
I hope all is well with you.

    So, so funny!
I have had friends who desperately needed your message.
On the other hand, I had a friend who had been divorced for twelve years and still brought her ex into most conversations. He let her go just fine, but she couldn’t do the same.
